While staying in Colorado this past week we took a day-trip I will never forget to Mt. Princeton Natural Hot Springs Resort in Buena Vista. Stay tuned to find out why this trip was so great below.

If you look in the lower right of the picture below, you’ll see some of the natural “pools” that we got to swim/relax in. These pools were naturally hot but I wasn’t expecting it to be that hot! Some of the pools got up to 112 degrees and they all felt uhhh-mazing!

If you’re ever in Colorado and looking for the experience of a lifetime, this is the place for you! We all (5 total) paid under $50 each to stay overnight and received 2-day access to the hot springs, which is insane for the overall experience. This resort has the cutest rooms/cabins with great views. The resort we stayed in also had a bar, restaurant, and complimentary espresso, coffee, tea, etc. The employees were all super helpful and friendly. The other guests of the resorts were even sweeter and you could tell some of them were regulars, especially since you’re able to buy passes without staying overnight at their resort. On one side of the resort, there were pools for all ages, and on the other side of the main bridge is the adult only pools and the spa area, which also has a bar.

We enjoyed $6 mimosas to start our day in the hot springs after breakfast in their on-site restaurant – and check out this view from one of the pools. Peep the whitecap.

This trip was one I will never forget and I am so glad I got the chance to experience this with my friends because now I want to try other hot springs across the US. I love how secluded this resort is – you’re literally surrounded by mountains. The actual swimming pools (like the ones we typically swim in) were very warm too, but they also have a lukewarm pool, which I was not too fond of, but one of my friends loved it, so there’s something for everyone!

Thanks for reading and let me know if you’ve ever been to a natural hot spring before, I am excited to try more in the future!
