things to do in saugatuck, michigan

if you are looking for things to do while in saugatuck, michigan for free or reaaaally cheap, keep reading!

saugatuck tea company

this place has some yummy bubble tea! this is also a nice place for gifts. the prices were all reasonable and so worth it! they also have board games at the tables, so entertainment is not a problem here either. although i didn’t try anything else, i saw they sell gelato, loose leaf team, coffee, etc. fun spot if you’re going with friends or a special someone.

the olive mill

this is one of the many cute little shops downtown that we just couldn’t say no to. in kalamazoo, i don’t see many olive oil mills, so going out to the lake is normally the only time i get to try any! they have raspberry vinaigrette that you will fall in L O V E with and i promise when you leave you will want to eat more salad (that’s how good these are). the prices are reasonable, but be ready to spend a little more $ and know it is so worth it (quality)! they let you sample any of the oils completely free.

american spoon

this place has some of the best jam i’ve had in my life. the prices are S O reasonable and there are plenty of options to choose from. did i mention you get to try these all for F R E E and they give out chip and cracker samples too. if you like wholesome snacks/food, this is the place for you. great additions for cheese board platters!

saugatuck sand dunes

for $20, i’d say this is more than worth it and one of the highlights of this trip. so, you go on a ride through the sand dunes with a group of others. you get some pretty amazing views and get to learn some crazy things about michigan and the location is close to the beach! also, this was a greet spot for adventure-y insta pics.

mt. baldhead park

so, when i looked this place up i’m pretty sure it said something about being 282 stairs and let me tell ya, i believe it. this hike was very challenging, but fun and rewarding in the end! we got a nice panoramic view of Saugatuck and the bay, which is where we ate our home packed lunches. if you want to know some quick and easy picnic lunches, let me know because i would L O V E to share! you can also choose to run down the dunes to the beach after, which is accessible from the top of mt. baldhead.

uncommon coffee roasters

we randomly ended up here and it was very quick and affordable. there were plenty of options and did i mention how cute this coffee shop is?! there were even cute little tables we sat at outside while we drank our brews, so if you’re here during the warmer days, be sure to check this place out.

oval beach

we ended our day watching the sunset. this cute beach lies right on lake michigan and as you can see, it was so worth the wait! we played around on the beach and ate more snacks until the sun set. don’t forget to bring water, blankets, and a camera!

There were a ton of other things to do, check out some of those options!

don’t forget to leave me comments! i hope this helps with easy things to do around saugatuck.
