This Saturday we woke up at 7:30AM, got ready, headed to Starbucks, then over to the Farm Market! Today was our first time going to a farm market in our new state and city. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were certainly impressed to say the least. Also, I was a little thrown off because here, they call it the “downtown farm market” and I’m used to calling it the farmers market.. any who, I will be addressing it as the farm market for now.
About the Market
The Farm Market is located in the heart of the downtown area and takes up at least a few blocks. There were tons of vendors– most of them selling lots of similar things (fresh product, flowers, etc.) and others selling things you didn’t see a ton of booths of (beer, lemonade, loose leaf teas, bread, meats). There were so many options and we were able to snag some great deals along the way.
What We Bought
- green beans
- small bouquet of flowers
- fresh picked cherries
- cucumbers
- kale
- carrot bunch
- sourdough bread
- fair trade loose leaf tea
- red potatoes
Little things like waking up super early to shop and browse around local vendors make my heart super happy (especially during these confusing, devastating times). I’m so excited to cook everything up and enjoy our purchases. I definitely plan on searching for carrot and green bean recipes on Pinterest. Stay tuned!
Hope you all are staying healthy, happy, and safe! Thanks for stopping by!
Xx,
Toni
