Since my last post, I’ve moved back home at my moms until August, travelled to Miami, FL for Rolling Loud Music Festival, applied for tons of summer jobs, and watched some old Western movies (True Grit gets 10/10 from me). I’ve been slacking on my posts, (certainly feeling like I’m in a rut of some sort) at times, but I’m here now! Here are some things I’m currently loving lately:
Oreo Thins – Salted Caramel + Lemon 🍋
Okay, was not expecting these to be so freaking good. They’re a lot less intense than normal lemon Oreos, but I will say, it was hard to put them down. Haven’t even checked the nutrition label yet, just snacking away!
The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans🐎
I asked Sean’s mom if she had any books for me to read, so naturally (being a bookworm) she brought me a huge stack of books and told me to choose what I wanted to read, this was my first choice! I’m on the 3rd part of the book and not once was I bored on not interested in reading. The author does a great job and I’m actually learning things about horses that I never knew.. I also get some great laughs out of it too!
Fresh Beauty
Strawberry Sugar Exfoliating Face Scrub + Soy Face Cleanser
I will do a daily skin routine post soon, but I use the strawberry scrub in the morning (usually) and the soy cleanser at night. These are gentle and work on all skin types. The soy cleanser works wonders removing my layers of mascara and leaves my face feeling clean and clear before and after bed. I received these for free from Influenster, but genuinely love the results after using them. you can find these at Sephora and i’m sure they’re at other stores as well! Face Masks
I received a ton of face masks from my Secret Santa this past year (haha). I’m actually surprised I still have so many, but my friend got me a pack with over 12 masks, so it makes sense that I still have a ton. What a better time to take care of my skin and do a little pampering? I usually aim for peel-off masks, but lately I’ve been using sheet masks.
Lakeshore Drygoods – Organic Cotton Hair Towel

I’ve been working with this brand for years and I am still obsessing over their organic cotton hair towels! I haven’t found a product that works better with my hair. The lightweight t-shirt towels cut my drying time in half and there’s almost no tangles when I remove my hair from the towel! I’m on my third t-shirt towel because the prints are all so cute, so of course I had to update my collection with a more bright, summer print! Check out their hair towels here: https://www.lakeshoredrygoods.com/ and use my code: BRONCOS for 15% off! For all of my Michigan readers, these are made in Petosky, MI!
Starbucks Mango Dragonfruit Refresher
This drink was hard to say no to. I haven’t always been a coffee fan, so if there’s some yummy options that can give me the caffeine I need without drinking a coffee, I’m usually down to try it. This drink is extremely flavorful, but yummy and Sean approves too, although he prefers coffee over tea/refreshers any day.
Garage Sale Shopping
Sean and I are moving into our very first apartment together this August – just the two of us! We got a cute little 2-bedroom apartment a block away from where I used to live this past fall and 1 short block away from campus. I’ve never lived with a significant other, so this will be a new experience for the both of us, but I am SO excited to get the chance to live with my very best friend in our own apartment together. So far, we’ve found a coffee table and old TV stand, which I will be repainting/vamping up this summer (YAY)! If you know me personally, you’ll know that I love a nice home project re-doing furniture of my own. We’re so excited and I can’t wait to show you all some of the projects I complete!
IKEA
Being back at my mom’s for the summer means unlimited trips to IKEA since she only lives about 12 mins away! This place is huge and if you haven’t been to IKEA before, I would suggest taking a day-trip there. If you dislike building, you may not enjoy IKEA furniture as much, but there’s something for everyone there and it’s such a huge warehouse, but so coooool! Their Swedish meatless balls are amazing and you can buy their food to take home as well! I also worked here a couple of years ago, so I’ve always been a fan of this place.
Salad Kits
I’ve been eating salad a few times each week, loading them up with everything from apples, blueberries, dried cranberries, to pumpkin seeds, etc. The cool thing about salad kits is that they (normally) come with everything you need – all the way down to the dressing, and you can add whatever you want after that! Such a fun way to get into eating healthier. My favorite toppings to add to my salad kits are apples, avocado, feta cheese, and steak.
Sauvignon Blanc
As the years go by, I find myself trying and liking different kinds of wine. I never enjoyed any wine that wasn’t a moscato or sweet of some sort, but I officially like sauvignon blanc now, I’m officially getting older.
As you can see, lots of eating and drinking, with some sides of exercise (all about balance people) in my day. I am working on just going with it, when it comes to blogging and posting. I will not allow myself to fall in another rut (for now). Talk to me! What are some of your summer faves?? Books, music, food, wine, NBA finals predictions? Bachelorette predictions, opinions?
