Summer Date Ideas

I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for new, fun date ideas to spruce things up – especially during the summer! I’m hoping to inspire some of you all to go out and try something new with someone else this summer (shoot, even by yourself)! In 2019, it’s safe to say that ‘dates’ aren’t always with a significant other anymore, you can take your gal pals, family, or whoever you please. Here we go, I’m sharing some fun dates I’ve gone on in the past year:

U-PICK FRUIT FARM

Summer means that a ton of fruits are in-season and you can get fresh fruit for great prices and even better experience. My favorite is cherry picking or strawberry picking. Sean and I love cherry picking in Northern Michigan with his Grandpa. To find a u-pick farm near you, try searching on Google! At the farm, they normally provide free containers for buyers and are (usually) unbelievably cheap!

PICNIC

Get some finger foods, drinks, etc. and find your nearest beach, park, or wherever you’d like to enjoy a nice picnic! My favorite: Beach setting picnic, watching the sunset at the end

HAMMOCKING

If you follow me on social media, you may know how much I love hammocking! Sean and I have a super special spot at the top of the sand dunes and we hammock there looking over Lake Michigan. Bring some snacks and drinks along and always make the best of it!

KAYAK/BOATING

Whether you’re renting a kayak or you own one, it’s super easy to find a pond/lake/whatever to kayak on! super romantic and fun! Blow-up kayaks are amazing and if you’ve been debating on trying one out, just do it!

SWIMMING

Whether you’re swimming in a lake, pool, ocean, or whatever it may be this is an obvious date for summer! Bring sunscreen of course!

*NEW* RESTAURANT OF THE WEEK/MONTH/SUMMER

Search some places you’d like to eat and set date nights up for you and your date to try someplace new (each month, week). For example, I am planning a ton of tastings for when we go up north this summer at places we haven’t tried yet! Lately, I’ve been trying a ton of new food and drinks just to try new things! Create a bucket-list if you may so you can check them off as you go.

NATURE PRESERVE/NATURE PARK

Minus bugs, nature is a huge part of my life and I frankly feel incomplete without going outside for so long. search up some nature parks in your community, you’ll usually be really surprised about the beauty you’ll discover.

TASTINGS

If you follow me on any social media, you’ll probably notice that I’m always posting my ‘flights’! This is such a fun way to try new wines, beer, cider, etc! Tasting rooms are overall, such an easy way to go out, try something new, and discover new drinks while having a blast!

These were just some of the (very) many ideas for you all to hopefully consider for your next summer date! Thanks for reading!
