Today, I woke up feeling somewhat inspired. I drank my immune shot and toasted an everything bagel to start my day off on the right foot. After a few hours of applying for jobs and being lazy in bed I decided to order Sean and I, Chinese takeout for lunch! I don’t eat out nearly as much as I used to due to some improved lifestyle habits but I figured we deserved a little Sunday treat (especially after volunteering yesterday for 9 hours).
A goal of mine is to find ways to stay inspired and utilizing my DSLR again. Food is something that has always been an inspiration for my creativity! There are so many different colors, textures, and ways to create virtual drool via pictures. Later, I will share my go-to editing app for food photography and landscape/aesthetic shots. Here’s a couple shots I got of my yummy meal:

I’ve been working on getting into more of a routine for posting and Sunday is usually the day I have time to do so.
I used the Adobe Lightroom Mobile app to clean up/edit majority of my photos! I pay about $5 each month for a small subscription that allows me to use the healing setting which is how I clean up unwanted spots and/or objects in the frame. If you’re an aesthetic person or like cleaner photos, I would suggest this app and subscription! Have you ever taken the most perf pic but realized you have something in your teeth, in the background, or worse? This would be an easy fix for you. I don’t do photoshop or anything techy like that and had no issues getting adjusted to the healing option.
I use LR Mobile to enhance my food photos as well. That auto selection sometimes helps, but I mostly do the changes manually or change around some that the auto option does! Sharpen is also one of my favorite options on the LR Mobile app because I think it makes my photos look more professional and are more pleasing to the eye. Saturation is another great option because sometimes I may want to enhance the color of my photo and this does exactly that – I try to be careful not to over-saturate to keep my photos looking as natural as possible, but if it fits your aesthetic go for it.
Selective is the last thing I will touch on. This setting helps me brighten or darken areas that need attention. If I find a dark corner in a food picture and the others are lighter, I will often brighten that corner to make my picture look identical throughout. Sometimes I find light spots and choose to darken them for the same effect, it just depends on what you’re looking for in your photos!

I am not a professional, but love photography and am so happy I get to share with you all.
What are some things that inspire you to create? I would love to know! Do you use any editing app for your photography, if so which one(s)? As always thanks for reading my short post.
Happy Eating,
Toni
