This past weekend was a wet, rainy one for me in Michigan. I didn’t work last weekend, but couldn’t do much outside due to the weather and that was okay with me. I decided to make the most of my time off and write about it because why not. Here’s how I enjoyed my days off.

Had a couple glasses of wine.
This was definitely a highlight of my time off. Adding some essential oils to my diffuser and drinking wine gives me this sort of comfort that words can’t explain. All is well during these moments. I also had some tea!

Took a few photos.
I took photos of my food, a couple of outfits I was wearing, a magazine I was reading, and a bunch of other random things like Sean sleeping lol. I love using my camera and editing lately– no complaints.

Baked a homemade apple + peach crisp which couldn’t have turned out better.
I looked up a few recipes on Pinterest and ended up winging it– or free-styling as I like to call it. The crisp turned out amazing in case you were wondering. Nothing better than baking and the smell of your home when things get cooking. We’ll be eating the leftovers for at least a couple of days which is a treat in itself.

Planned some blog posts and played around with Canva.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m getting in the habit of planning and attempting to be more consistent. Planning also helps me get more creative and it makes me happy being able to put more out there.

Cleaned.
Fun fact: I can’t go one weekend without cleaning even if I’m working. It truly enhances my mood and cultivates a more creative space and mindset for me.
Ordered grocery pick-up.
This was the quickest grocery pick-up I’ve done in a while. It’s usually packed and takes at least 10-15 minutes for them to load our groceries in the car. This was also a somewhat bittersweet moment because that trip was hopefully the last grocery pick-up before moving.
Prepared to put in my two weeks notice at work.
This was hard, weird, and everything in between, but it made me feel better that this was the best choice for me and my future. Update: My boss handled everything very well as I predicted and even offered to be a reference!
Watched some live golf.
This was not my idea, although I do enjoy watching professional golf lol. Sean was too excited because we haven’t been able to watch live sports for a while now with everything going on. I will admit it was quite enjoyable watching something on ESPN (or whatever channel it was) other than NFL drafts and old sporting events.
Finished my 750 piece puzzle after over six months of it sitting on our dining room table.
It took me a while, but I finally finished it (minus the one missing piece). I’m excited to start another once we move and hopefully it won’t take half a year to complete.
Lots of YouTube.
Are you even surprised? I don’t even know why we pay for cable anymore to be honest.
Relaxed and lazily lounged in my living room chair for a while.
Of course this was enjoyable. At times, I had to force myself to get up and do something. Overall, time well spent.

Prep some spaces and boxes for our upcoming move.
More Amazon packages means more free boxes that will be put to good use.

That’s about it! Thanks for reading about my weekend, let me know if you did anything exciting (or not so exciting).
Xx,
Toni
