This Week: Pumpkin Patch Date

Fall has officially arrived!

*queue pumpkin spice everything captions and cozy sweaters*

One of my all-time favorite fall activities is going out to the pumpkin patch and picking my very own pumpkin. There was a tiny break in the rain, so we jumped off the couch, got dressed, and headed out.

Visiting a local pumpkin patch or orchard is absolutely essential during the Fall season! A friend suggested an orchard about 12 minutes from where we live.. Say no more! From the corn maze, huuuge apple orchard, and lots of opportunity for a photo op, we were very impressed to say the least.

We only spent around an hour here, due to the rain, but could’ve easily spent a couple of hours. This orchard even had a zip lining course! We were very happy pumpkins in the patch.

Side note: If you’re wanting to take cute pictures, I would recommend going toward the end of the day, for better lighting- but if you’re like me, you’ll find a way to make it work no matter the time of day!

Posing with pumpkins is very awkward, lol. They’re either really big, small, heavy, or just plain dirty! I would suggest holding your pumpkin and a simple, smile! You can hold it over your face, give it a great big hug, sit down with it/them (although, it was way too muddy to do that today), and have fun with it!

Pumpkin Patch date was a SUCCESS!

We ended up taking home 3 pumpkins and quite frankly, still need to get them all cleaned up. We got pretty muddy, but it was such a fun time! I’m so excited to get carving and bake pumpkin seeds. What a gourd day it was! What’s your favorite fall activity?

omg, you’re so cute! I’m so glad you went pumpkin picking, I actually went to the farm last weekend to pick sunflowers! While I usually don’t go traditional pumpkin picking, and just buy pumpkins from the supermarket, I love carving pumpkins! It’s much harder than it looks, but I’m working on getting better. I just found your blog, and I’m looking forward reading more of your content 🙂 xx

You’re so sweet. I think my boyfriend would’ve rather bought pre-picked but I convinced him otherwise 😂 We were sooo muddy, but it was worth it! I’m so glad you found my blog, I actually just followed yours and can’t wait to read more from you! Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by 😊

I’m so glad that fall has finally arrived in Ireland, too. Most of the leaves are still green but I’m loving misty mornings and twilight hour. We don’t have pumkin farms over here so we have no choice but to go to the local Farmers market or supermarket; it’s still a fun thing to do for the whole family. I’m definitely gonna grow pumpkins in my backyard next year. Thanks for sharing and have a good day. Loving your autumnal photos 😊 Aiva

Hi Aiva! I had no idea there weren’t pumpkin farms there! Growing pumpkins sounds like sooo much fun. Hope this fall season has been treating you and your family well 😌
