Chicago Restaurant Week 2022

I’m finally sharing my first Chicago Restaurant Week experience! This post is a little late, but the incredible food from the 2023 event was definitely worth the wait. I can’t wait to share the details with you all.

What is Chicago Restaurant Week?

It’s a two-week culinary event that turns Chicago into a foodie’s paradise! During the event, hundreds of the city’s best restaurants offer special, multi-course prix-fixe menus. This is especially great if you’re like me and get overwhelmed by too many options—you get to enjoy a curated menu of the chef’s best dishes.

These special menus are set at three price points: typically $25 for brunch or lunch, and $42 or $59 for dinner (drinks, tax, and tip are not included). It’s a fantastic way to try some of the city’s top spots without a huge price tag.

Do I need reservations?

I would highly suggest making reservations beforehand. While some places may take walk-ins, popular spots fill up fast. It’s always best to book your table in advance to make sure you get to try the places on your list.

Where and What I Ate:
Marchesa
Address: 535 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60654 | French
Gussie’s Handmade Italian
Address: 227 W. North Avenue Chicago, IL 60610 | Italian

Great Italian wine and loved the overall ambiance.

bistronomic
Address: 840 N. Wabash, Chicago, IL | French Bistro

The gals each enjoyed our meals. Three of us split a bottle of pinot noir to pair with our duck — so good! Everyone also raved about the brunch here, so I will be back.

Is Restaurant Week worth it?

In my humble opinion, I would say yes!

Have you experienced Restaurant Week where you live? Thanks for reading.
