Hiking is one of my favorite things to do no matter where I am in the world. In October, I got to visit Colorado (again) with Sean and it was a blast! I figured this post would help someone because I know I’m not the only person trying to figure out how the heck to pose for pictures on a mountain right?
As a creative, I am always looking for new and fun ways to pose for pictures and better capture the moment (without losing touch of being present). Photographs make the best memories and I am obsessed with them, but hate spending tons of time trying to figure out what to do in front of a camera. Hope this helps someone!
HOW TO POSE ON A MOUNTAIN: POSING IDEAS TO TRY:
1. Attempt jumping off of something like a tall rock

2. Walk across a rock/elevated surface

3. Throw your hands in the air and smile

4. Walk up the mountain/trail

5. Grab a friend and smile!

Enjoy some bloopers, these sometimes end up being pure gold!

Hope you all enjoyed. What I find most helpful when posing and taking pictures is to literally act natural! Having the photographer take natural shots of you walking and smiling/laughing is one of the best ways in my opinion to genuinely capture the moment. Don’t focus as much on making eye contact with the camera. This way you aren’t focused on posing, rather just enjoying being out in nature and in the present moment, which is what it’s all about!
